Recently, a rumor has surfaced that I feel I must clarify regarding the potential appearance of apartments along Folsom Blvd. Several building owners along Folsom Boulevard are spreading rumors that their properties will be seized by the city and replaced with apartments.
This rumor is entirely untrue.
According to our Folsom Boulevard Specific Plan, a property may operate in perpetuity and enjoy the same land use that it did before incorporation. Our business-friendly Plan would even allow a building owner to rebuild their property if it were to burn down. In addition, if these owners were to sell their property, the buyer would also be able to operate under current zoning laws.
